How to use your mask

STAY SAFE AND MAKE OTHERS HAPPY WITH SOME FUN PATTERN!

FOLLOW THE RULES OF USING THE MASK

WASH YOUR HANDS before putting your mask on.

Make sure your mask FITS TIGHT to your face. Do NOT TOUCH the mask while wearing it. WASH YOUR HANDS after taking the mask off. When putting the mask on or off try to only TOUCH THE STRAPS.

You should change the mask every time it gets wet, ideally every 1-2 hours. It is intended for SINGLE USE ONLY and it should always be washed in boiling water for at least 30 minutes OR in the washing machine on hot or sanitize cycle after each use. Even if you go out for a shorter period and use it, you should still wash it after. Our face masks are open on one side so you can put a paper filter inside too. It can be a paper tissue or one layer of vacuum bag paper if you have one handy. You should change this filter after every use as well.

Here is a bit of scientific background if you want to know why it’s a good idea to wear them:The official recommendation in the United States (and other Western countries) that the public should not wear face masks was motivated by the need to save respirator masks for health care workers. There is no scientific support for the statement that masks worn by non-professionals are “not effective”. In contrary, in view of the stated goal to “flatten the curve”, any additional, however partial reduction of transmission would be welcome — even that afforded by the simple surgical masks or home-made (DIY) masks (which would not exacerbate the supply problem). The latest biological findings on SARS-Cov-2 viral entry into human tissue and sneeze/cough-droplet ballistics suggest that the major transmission mechanism is not via the fine aerosols but large droplets, and thus, warrant the wearing of surgical masks by everyone.more info here:https://medium.com/@Cancerwarrior/covid-19-why-we-should-all-wear-masks-there-is-new-scientific-rationale-280e08ceee71https://www.maskssavelives.org/https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2020/03/28/masks-all-coronavirus/
